If you could ask the person you like three questions, what would they be?

1) Remember when we went camping in Tehachapi about a month ago?
2) Are you aware that you forgot about your bags of miscellaneous leftover foods from West Covina and left them in my car after that camping trip? Because, until a few minutes ago, I wasn't!
3) What the heck is that white grainy stuff that sprung a leak and spilled all over my car? I thought it might be salt and I put a single grain in my mouth to check, but it tasted even grosser than regular salt. I snorted some but it didn't get me high. Just kidding, it totally did. But srsly I think I need you to identify the contents of most of those bags and give me instructions on what to do with them.

Anyone else out there still undecided about the upcoming election?

Usually I know exactly who I will vote for from the get-go.  This time, I have reservations about both. 

If it goes to McCain, let's face it.  The man is old.  He's had cancer (more than once, if I'm not mistaken).  If he (God forbid) passed on while in office, we could be putting our country in the hands of a fairly inexperienced - albeit intriguing - person.  Yes, she's a governor with "executive" experience, but it's really not a lot of time, folks.  And even as I tend to agree with a lot of her views, I think she may be a little short-sighted on a few.

(Such as the abstinence one - I am for abstinence too; let's face it, it is the only full-proof way, but I agree with Cindy McCain that we need to educate folks on other options.  You can't legislate righteousness - they are going to do what they want to do, and they should know all the options and the success/fail rates.)

And does anyone else feel a bit - I don't know, concerned perhaps - that this working mom (which I am one, so don't throw stones) has allegedly said that she and her husband will both continue to pursue their professions full-time regardless?  She has five kids, right?  One is expecting.  And they homeschool (correct me if I am wrong).  Does anyone else see something wrong with this picture?

But if it goes to Obama, I have to admit that his running mate leaves me cold.  He seems like (and I might get roasted for this statement) the typical old white dude politician that Washington has already seen enough of.  I am tired of politics as usual, which is the main reason Obama interests me in the first place.  Why did he choose a Capitol Hill relic?

His experience, I am sure.  And maybe his politics aren't as typical as I am assuming.  I haven't really followed the man, so I am a bit uninformed.  But there's just something about him that I can't quite put my finger on, that makes me nervous that with his backing, it will be the same-old-same-old.

Perhaps it is the fact that I've lived in his state and it didn't impress me much.

I suppose I need to make some kind of decision soon, eh?

I'm just taking advantage of Vox  Hunt to introduce this gorgeous picture...

Went to the doctor yesterday.  We found a clinic that only accepts uninsured patients, and the cost was reasonable.  I delivered my tale of woe to a doctor with seven fingers.  He prescribed me stuff for my cough, but was chiefly concerned with my blood pressure, which is so high that if one were to stab me in a major artery with an ice-pick, the resulting spurt would splash the bottoms of low-flying aircraft.  So, I'm back on the dreaded Metropolol.

Got a decent night's sleep in the bed for the first time in about two weeks, the swelling's already going down in my feet, but the complaining of fatigue won't stop any time soon, because Metropolol just KILLS ME.

• 14:00 Getting dressed to go run errands in Humble and getting my nails done. Was just talking tax plans with Ben; hope that chart helps him. #
